Avast Antivirus have warned us of a virus that is getting through skype.
If you recieve any files from an unknown user or even a friend that says...
"Is this you" or "i found this picture of you"
THEN DONT OPEN IT!!
As it will contain a very harmful virus that will quickly spread through your pc or laptop.

Phone Scam Hitting The Island
The latest phone scam is hitting the island. A female caller will call you warning of viruses inside you pc, she will then pass you to a male caller, again he will insist the viruses are intruding your pc and you must do something straight away.
At this point a lot of customers will panic, DONT!!
This is the point when the caller will try to scare you into giving him some information from you pc.
DONT DO THIS!!
This will enable him to access your pc, they will then plant some viruses or tracking software into you pc.
Once this is all done they will now ask you to pay a fee. Which will be a large amount of money.
They may then continue to take money from your account which you will find very hard to stop as it will come from an unknown source.
The best way to deal with this is as soon as they mention that they see you have viruses on your pc is just to
PUT THE PHONE DOWN.
Otherwise they will not stop until they have scared you enough to give them access to your pc. As soon as we have more information we will update this post...... Please take note of this otherwise you will be scammed......
